| The
club operates out of a dedicated gymnasium consisting of
equipment primarily suited to training for powerlifters,
weightlifters and strength-related athletes.
Some
of the equipment includes: lifting platforms, ER Equipment squat racks,
ER bench press, safety bench press, incline bench, leg curl, hyper extension, reverse
hyper extension, glute ham raise, lateral pulldown and seated cable row machine, dumbbells,
olympic rubber coated weights and bars and a power rack.
The
club encourages novice lifters to join and experience the
exciting sport of powerlifting. Powerlifting is a very goal-oriented
sport which combines strength, concentration, speed and
dedication.

The Reverse Hyper Machine. |
| Our membership gives you access to our fully equipped strength-training gym. You'll receive written instruction on technique and a written program from fully qualified Powerlifting and Strength and Conditioning Coaches.
The 2008 club membership fees (incl GST) commencing each calendar
year are:
- $340/year
for University of Queensland students and staff
- $350/year
for Non UQ students or high school students
- $350/year for the general public

The Safety Bench Press - allows lifters
to safely bench with the aid of horizontal support bars. This bench can also be used with large rubber bands. |
